A flock of penguins at a Japanese aquarium have replaced Santa's little helpers, waddling around the park dressed in fur-lined Christmas costumes.

The penguins at Yokohama's Hakkeijima Sea Paradise Aquarium perform a daily "Penguin Christmas Parade", posing for pictures with delighted visitors.

Aquarium chiefs said they wanted to both allow visitors to enjoy Christmas while not pushing the animals too far.
