საქართველოს პრეზიდენტი გიორგი მარგველაშვილი დღეს მედიის წარმომადგენლებს შეხვდა. ქვეყნის პირველმა პირმა იმ პრობლემებითა და სირთულეებით დაინტერესდა, რომელიც მედიას დღესდღეობით ექმნება. გიორგი მარგველაშვილმა მათგან ინფორმაცია მოისმინა და ჟურნალისტებთან ერთად იმ გამოწვევებზე იმსჯელა, რომელთა წინაშეც მედია დგას. საუბარი შეეხო ციფრულ მაუწყებლობაზე გადასვლის საკითხსა და სატელევიზიო რეიტინგების დამთვლელ მექანიზმებსაც.
შეხვედრა, რომელშიც ნაციონალური და თბილისის მასშტაბით მაუწყებელი ტელეკომპანიების საინფორმაციო სამსახურების ხელმძღვანელები და პოლიტიკური თოქ-შოუების წამყვანები მონაწილეობდნენ, კითხვა-პასუხის რეჟიმით წარიმართა. საქართველოს პრეზიდენტმა ხაზგასმით აღნიშნა, რომ ქვეყანაში დემოკრატიის განვითარებისთვის აუცილებელია მედიის თავისუფლება და დამოუკიდებლობა. გიორგი მარგველაშვილმა მზადყოფნა გამოთქვა საჭიროებისა და სურვილის შემთხვევაში ნებისმიერ დროს შეხვდეს და მოუსმინოს მათ.
საქართველოს პრეზიდენტი მსგავსი ტიპის შეხვედრების გამართვას მედიაჰოლდინგების ხელმძღვანელებთან და რეგიონალური მედიასაშუალებების წარმომადგენლებთანაც გეგმავს.
