With a hard day of racing ahead, the top Hard Enduro racers set out to conquer day 1 of Red Bull Romaniacs. Graham Jarvis was first to led the pack away, with Jonny Walker and then Alfredo Gómez close in tow. Doing his best to break away from the pack, Jarvis was unable to put any distance into his rivals and quite quickly a pack formed around him.
From his eighth place starting position, Wade Young rapidly reeled his rivals in by the time they reached the '125cc Killer' climb before service. Sticking like glue to the rear wheel of Jarvis – despite a late breakaway by Gómez – Young kept control of the battle for the day's win and crossed the finish line as the victor, his first at Red Bull Romaniacs.
