15 ადამიანი დაიღუპა და 90-ზე მეტი დაშავდა ფილიპინებზე მომხდარი მიწისძვრის შედეგად. 6 მთელი 7 მეათედი მაგნიტუდის სიმძლავრის მიწისძვრა ქვეყნის სამხრეთით მოხდა.
ეპიცენტრი ქალაქ სურიგაოდან 13 კილომეტრის მოშორებით,10 კილომეტრის სიღრმეში დაფიქსირდა.
მიწისძვრას 89 განმეორებით ბიძგი მოჰყვა. სტიქიის ზონაში დანგრეულია სახლები, ადგილზე სამძებრო სამუშაოები ამ დრომდე არ შეწყვეტილა.
