სახალხო დამცველის არჩევის წესი, შესაძლოა, შეიცვალოს. საუბარია პარლამენტის მიერ, ორი ვადის ნაცვლად ომბუდსმენის მხოლოდ ერთი ვადით არჩევაზე.
ინიციატივის ავტორი კონსტიტუციონალისტები ქვეყნის უზენაეს კანონში შესაბამისი ცვლილების შეტანას ითხოვენ. საკითხი საკონსტიტუციო კომისიის დღევანდელ შეხვედრაზე დაისვა. გაჟღერდა სხვა წინადადებებიც. მათ შორის იდეა, რომლის მიხედვით, არჩევნებში მონაწილეობის ვალდებულება საკონსტიტუციო დონეზე უნდა იყოს განსაზღვრული, თუმცა განსაკუთრებით რეზონანსული იურისტების მიერ დაყენებული ის ინიციატივა აღმოჩნდა, რომლის მიხედვით, კონსტიტუციიდან ნაფიც მსაჯულებთან დაკავშირებული ჩანაწერი უნდა ამოიღონ.
