ოპოზიციის მოთხოვნის მიუხედავად, მომავალი საპარლამენტო არჩევნებისთვის მაჟორიტარული სისტემის გაუქმების საკითხი ისევ ღიად რჩება.
თუ საკონსტიტუციო კომისია საარჩევნო კანონმდებლობაში ცვლილებებს არ შეიტანს, ხელისუფლების ოპონენტები კომისიის დატოვებით იმუქრებიან.
თუმცა მმართველ გუნდს სადავო თემაზე პოზიცია ჯერ ისევ არ აქვს ჩამოყალიბებული. უთანხოების მიზეზი ხდება ერთ-ერთი კონსტიტუციონალისტის მიერ შეთავაზებული წინადადებაც.
თუ საკონსტიტუციო კომისია ვახუშტი მენაბდის ინიციატივას გაიზიარებს, პარლამენტში დროებითი საგამოძიებო კომისიის შექმნის უფლება უმცირესობას მიეცემა.
