თელავში, ჩოლოყაშვილის ქუჩაზე არსებული გვირაბებისა და ისტორიული გალავნის სტრუქტურის შესახებ დეტალური ინფორმაციის მიღების მიზნით, მულტიდისციპლინური კვლევები დაიწყო.
კვლევებისას გამოყენებული იქნება სამგანზომილებიანი მოდელირება და სხვადასხვა თანამედროვე გეოფიზიკური მეთოდები.
პირველი ეტაპის კვლევითი სამუშაოები მეცნიერთა ჯგუფმა უკვე დაიწყო, მათ შეუერთდებიან სპეციალისტები, რომლებიც ცხოველისა და ადამიანების ძვლების განსაზღვრაზე იმუშავებენ.
მულტიდისციპლინური კვლევითი სამუშაოები ქალაქის თელავის ისტორიის შესწავლის მიზნით, რამდენიმე ლოკაციაზე გაგრძელდება.
აღმოჩენილი მასალები თელავის ისტორიულ მუზეუმს გადაეცემა. მიწისქვეშა გვირაბების არქეოლოგიური კვლევები ქ. თელავის მერიის დაფინანსებით 2014 წლიდან ხორციელდება.
