„ევრობასკეტის“ მოსამზადებელ ეტაპზე, დღეს საქართველოს ნაკრებმა ავსტრიასთან ამხანაგური მატჩი გამართა. ობერვარტში ჩატარებული შეხვედრა საკმაოდ საინტერესო გამოდგა. აღსანიშნავია, რომ შეხვედრის სამი მეოთხედის განმავლობაში, ქართველი კალათბურთელები ლიდერობედნენ. გადამწყვეტი თამაშის უკანასკნელი მეოთხედის საწყისი 6 წუთი გამოდგა, რომელშიც ავსტრიელებმა 17-0 გაქცევა მოაწყვეს. ილიას ზუროსის გუნდს, საერთო ჯამში 23 დაკარგვა ჰქონდა.
ავსტრიელები, რომლებიც მსოფლიოს ჩემპიონატის საკვალიფიკაციო ეტაპისთვის ემზადებიან, ოპტიმალური შემადგენლობით გავიდნენ მოედანზე და 87-77 გაიმარჯვეს. საქართველოს ნაკრებში საუკეთესო თორნიკე შენგელია იყო, 22 ქულით და 8 მოხსნით, გიორგი შერმადინის ანგარიშზე 18 ქულა და 5 მოხსნაა.
ავსტრიიდან საქართელოს ნაკრები ლიტვაში გაემგზავრება, სადაც საერთაშორისო ტურნირში მიიღებს მონაწილეობას. პირველ მატჩს საქართველოს ნაკრები 4 აგვისტოს ლატვიის ნაკრების წინააღმდეგ ჩაატარებს. საზოგადოებრივი მაუწყებელი ლიტვის ტურნირის შეხვედრებს პირდაპირ ეთერში შემოგთავაზებთ.
