აგვისტოს ომის მე-9 წლისთავზე ქართველი ჯარისკაცები გაიხსენეს ფოთში. ომში გარდაცვლილთა ოჯახებმა, ადგილობრივი ხელისუფლების წარმომადგენლებმა და რიგითმა მოქალაქეებმა ტრაგიკული მოვლენების დროს დაღუპულთა მემორიალი ყვავილებით შემაკეს. ომში ფოთის 12 მკვიდრი გარდაიცვალა. ქართველი გმირების ღვაწლი დღეს კიდევ ერთხელ გაიხსენეს.
ხალხმრავლობა იყო დღეს ქუთაისშიც.
აგვისტოს ომში დაღუპულები გაიხსენეს ბათუმში. ჯავახიშვილის ქუჩაზე მდებარე სკვერში გმირების მემორიალი ყვავილებით შეამკეს., შესრულდა საქართველოს სახელმწიფო ჰიმნი.
ხალხმრავლობა იყო ახალციხეშიც, რუსეთ–საქართველოს კონფლიქტის დროს დაღუპული მეომრების მემორიალთან. ადგილზე გარდაცვლილთა ოჯახების წევრები, ადგილობრივი ხელისულების წარმომადგენლები იმყოფებოდნენ.
