აგროდაზღვევის საჭიროება დღის წესრიგში გასულ უქმეებზე კახეთში მოსულმა ძლიერმა სეტყვამ კიდევ ერთხელ დააბრუნა. სტიქიამ კახეთში 3500-ე მეტი ჰექტარი ვენახი დააზიანა, კიდევ ერთხელ გამოაჩინა აგროდაზღვევის და ასევე სეტყვისგან დამცავი სისტემების საჭიროება. სახელმწიფო აგროდაზღვევის პროგრამის ფარგლებში წლის განმავლობაში მილიონობით ლარს ხარჯავს, მაგალითად წელს ბიუჯეტში ამ მიმართულებით 12 მილიონი ლარია გამოყოფილი, თუმცა ფერმერთა ნაწილს შენიშვნები აქვს. ამბობენ, რომ როგორც სახელმწიფოს, ისე ფერმერების რესურსი არამიზნობრივად იხარჯება და რეალურად ვერ პასუხობს მათ საჭიროებას. ფერმერმა ნიკა გეთიაშვილმა, დღეს საკმაოდ ღიად ისაუბრა საქმიანი დილას ეთერში, რომ სახელმწიფო აგროდაზღვევის სუბსიდირებით ხელს უფრო უშლის ფერმერებს, ვიდრე ეხმარება. მისი თქმით, სტანდარტული პირობები, რაც სახელმწიფო პროგრამის ამოქმედების შემდეგ გაჩნდა სადაზღვევო კომპანიებზე უფროა მორგებული, ვიდრე ფერმერებზე. აგროდაზღვევის სახელმწიფო პროგრამაში არსებულ ხარვეზებზე საუბრობენ ფერმერთა ასოციაციაშიც.
