პაროდონტოლოგია სტომატოლოგიის ერთ-ერთი მნიშვნელოვანი და მეტად საინტერესო მიმართულებაა. ეს პროფესია არასდროს ყოფილა საქართველოში ისეთი აქტუალური და მოთხოვნადი, როგორიც დღესაა. სწორედ მოთხოვნიდან და აქტუალობიდან გამომდინარე, სულ რამდენიმე წელია “პაროდონტოლოგიისა და იმპლანტოლოგიის საზოგადოება” დაფუძნდა, სადაც გაერთიანებულნი არიან სხვადასხვა კლინიკის ის ექიმები, რომელთაც ბოლომდე აქვთ გააზრებული საკუთარი საქმიანობის მნიშვნელობა. ამასთან საკუთარი წვლილის შეტანაც სურთ პროფესიის განვითარებაში.
