საქართველოს მთავრობამ საყოველთაო ჯანდაცვის პროგრამაში ცვლილებები დაამტკიცა. 2013 წლის 1 ივლისის შემდეგ, საყოველთაო და კერძო პაკეტების გამიჯვნა პირველად მოხდება.
სამინისტროს განმარტებით, პრინციპი უცვლელი რჩება, თუმცა მონაცემთა ბაზების განახლების შედეგად, შესაძლებელი ხდება საყოველთაო ჯანდაცვის პროგრამის მოსარგებლეებად განისაზღვრონ ის პირები, რომლებსაც 2013 წლისთვის კერძო დაზღვევა ჰქონდათ, თუმცა შემდეგ რაიმე მიზეზით შეუწყდათ და აქამდე საყოველთაო ჯანდაცვის პროგრამის მხოლოდ მინიმალური პაკეტით სარგებლობა შეეძლოთ. შესაბამისად, ე.წ. საბაზისო პაკეტით ისარგებლებენ 2017 წლის 1 იანვრის მონაცემებით კერძო დაზღვევის არმქონე პირები. მათ კი ვისაც ორმაგი დაზღვევა აქვთ, საბაზისო პაკეტი შეუჩერდებათ და მხოლოდ კერძო დაზღვევა დარჩებათ.
