ამერიკის შეერთებული შტატების სახელმწიფო მდივანმა რექს ტილერსონმა საქართველოს ვიცე-პრემიერს, საგარეო საქმეთა მინისტრს ქართველი სამხედროს, უმცროსი სერჟანტი მდინარი ბებიაშვილის გარდაცვალების გამო მიუსამძიმრა, რომელიც 3 აგვისტოს ბაგრამის საავიაციო ბაზის მიმდებარე ტერიტორიაზე ერთობლივი მოტორიზებული პატრულირებისას თავდასხმის შედეგად დაიღუპა.
„უმცროსი სერჟანტი მდინარი ბებიაშვილი არის გმირი და მსურს მოგისამძიმროთ თქვენ, სერჟანტის ოჯახს და ქართველ ხალხს“, - აღნიშნულია რექს ტილერსონის სამძიმრის წერილში„.
ამერიკის შეერთებული შტატების სახელწიფო მდივანი გულწრფელ თანაგრძნობას და მხარდაჭერას უცხადებს ტერორისტული აქტის შედეგად დაშავებულ ქართველ ჯარისკაცებს.
რექს ტილერსონი სამძიმრის წერილში იხსენებს აშშ-ის ვიცე-პრეზიდენტის მაიკ პენსის საქართველოში ვიზიტისას გაკეთებულ განცხადებას, რომლის თანახმადაც, ამერიკის შეერთებული შტატები აფასებს ავღანეთში უსაფრთხოების განმტკიცების კუთხით ნატო-ს ძალისხმევაში საქართველოს კონტრიბუციას.
