ფილმი „ბაში-აჩუკი” შექმნილია აკაკი წერეთლის ამავე სახელწოდების მოთხრობის მიხედვით. სიუჟეტი სათავგადასავლო-ისტორიულია და ვითარდება XVII საუკუნის საქართველოში.
