ბათუმის ბულვარში მომხდარ ტრაგედიასთან დაკავშირებით დაკავებულს, მოსამართლემ წინასწარი პატიმრობა შეუფარდა. პროკურატურამ ედუარდ აბრამიანსისთვის თავისუფლების აღკვეთა, მიმალვისა და მოწმეებზე ზემოქმედების საფრთხის გამო მოითხოვა. დაცვის მხარე კი, სასამართლოს, ბრალდებულის გათავისუფლებას გირაოს სნაცვლოდ სთხოვდა. ამის მიუხედავად, მოსამართლე ლევან ყოლბაიამ, პროკურატურის შუამდგომლობა დააკმაყოფილა და აბრამიანსი პატიმრობაში დატოვა. გამოძიება დაკავებულს, სსკ 240-ე მუხლით ედავება, რაც უსაფრთხოების ნორმების დარღვევის გამო, ადამიანის სიცოცხლის მოსპობას გულისხმობს.
